  • Recruiting, developing and leading a committed residential care team.
  • Creating a positive, safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 8-14 with EBD.
  • Ensuring safeguarding, care planning, risk assessments and regulatory compliance are consistently maintained.
  • Building strong relationships with professionals, families, local authorities and external agencies.
  • Promoting a culture of high standards, accountability, compassion and child-centred care.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with EBD, trauma, complex needs or challenging behaviour.
  • A confident leadership style with the ability to build, motivate and retain a strong staff team.
  • Excellent safeguarding, compliance and care planning knowledge.
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness/eligibility to complete if required.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary of up to £70,000, depending on experience.
  • £10,000 bonus upon achieving a successful Ofsted registration/inspection outcome.
  • Additional performance-related bonus scheme.
  • Gym membership.
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Opportunity to lead and shape a brand-new children's residential service from the beginning.
