Senior Practice Accountant – Accounts & Advisory

This Senior Practice Accountant – Accounts & Advisory role sits within a high-performing team that supports a broad portfolio of SME and group clients. Based in London, you'll be joining a collaborative setting where you'll be trusted with varied responsibilities, client interaction, and exposure to more complex work as you develop. The culture is professional yet relaxed, with a strong emphasis on development within accountancy and long-term career growth.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies across a diverse client base
- Producing consolidated accounts for small and medium-sized groups
- Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting tax compliance work
- Reviewing VAT returns and assisting with client queries
- Producing management information to support business decision-making
- Managing your own workload, deadlines, and planning effectively
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
- Supporting junior team members with technical guidance where required
- Assisting with external audit queries and wider project work
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience in practice
- ACA / ACCA qualified or actively working towards qualification
- Strong technical grounding with a proactive approach to development
- Confident user of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Xero (essential)
- Exposure to systems such as IRIS, Sage 50, QuickBooks or Alpha (desirable)
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
- Strong communication skills with a client-focused mindset
