About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Lecturer to join our cross-college English team. You will deliver high-qualityGCSE and Functional Skills Englishto a diverse range of learners, including 16-18 students, apprentices, and adult learners.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team, where there is a clear focus onraising achievement, removing barriers to learning, and helping every student succeed.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about teaching and committed to improving student outcomes
- Skilled in teaching both GCSE English Language and Functional Skills
- Confident working with post-16 learners of mixed ability
- Able to build strong relationships and motivate learners to succeed
- Highly organised, proactive, and collaborative
Essential Requirements
- A minimum Level 3 (or above) qualification in English or a related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent)
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
- Experience of delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English in an FE setting
