Job Title: EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Pay: £16.90 per hour
Contract: Temp to perm

We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wythenshawe. This is a full time temporary to permanent opportunity working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting children during a crucial stage of their development.

This role is ideal for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early years education and creating engaging learning experiences. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant EYFS qualification is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
  • Promoting children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through structured play and classroom activities.
  • Supporting the development of early literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • Assisting with observations and contributing to children's learning journeys where required.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents to support each child's progress.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant EYFS qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working within an EYFS setting in a primary school or nursery.
  • A sound understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while using initiative when required.
