Robertson Bell is pleased to be working with a highly regarded education provider, based in Slough, to recruit an Interim Management Reporting Accountant on an urgent three-month contract. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with budget holders to investigate, explain and report on financial variances.
  • Using advanced Excel to analyse financial information and produce clear, insightful management reports.
  • Supporting the preparation of the finance system and data ahead of an implementation.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for finance system queries following implementation.
  • Assisting with year-end activities, including fixed asset reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with reporting and systems-related projects as required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous finance experience, in a similar capacity, within the education sector.
  • Strong accounting knowledge, supported by an AAT qualification, part CCAB qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • The ability to start at short notice and commit to a predominantly office-based role, 4-5 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative organisation at a crucial stage of its finance systems journey, where your expertise will have an immediate and visible impact.
