Forklift Driver

Job Type: Temporary to permanent
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday with shifts of 6am–4pm and 2pm–12pm, with Saturday shifts (6am–4pm) on a 1-in-3 basis (35 hours a week)
We are seeking a Forklift Driver to join our client's team. This role involves operating a counterbalance forklift to efficiently load and unload lorries and organise pallets within racking areas. The ideal candidate will have a valid counterbalance forklift licence and a driving or motorbike licence to commute to the location.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload goods from lorries.
- Safely transport goods to storage areas and place pallets on racks.
- Ensure operations are conducted in line with safety standards and procedures.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on the forklift to ensure it is in good working order.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimise loading and storage processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the work area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
- Possession of a driving or motorbike licence to reach the workplace.
- Proven experience in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
