Client-Facing Paraplanner
London (hybrid) | High-Net-Worth & Ultra-High-Net-Worth Clients
An established and highly respected London-based financial planning firm is looking to appoint an experienced Client-Facing Paraplanner to support a senior Financial Adviser in delivering sophisticated, bespoke advice to a discerning High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) client base.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to play an active role in the financial planning process.
The Role
Working in partnership with a highly experienced Adviser, you will be involved in every stage of the client journey, from attending meetings and preparing financial plans through to presenting cashflow modelling and helping to formulate complex recommendations.
You will regularly engage with affluent clients and their professional advisers, helping to deliver a first-class financial planning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings alongside the Adviser, taking detailed technical notes.
- Prepare and present cashflow modelling reports using Voyant.
- Assist in the development of tailored financial planning recommendations.
- Produce high-quality, bespoke suitability reports.
- Liaise directly with HNW and UHNW clients throughout the advice process.
- Work collaboratively with accountants, solicitors and other professional advisers.
- Support the implementation of pension, investment and tax-planning strategies.
- Contribute to the ongoing management of complex client relationships.
About You
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge across holistic financial planning and experience supporting sophisticated client needs.
Essential Experience
- Previous paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment.
- Strong report-writing skills and experience producing bespoke suitability reports.
- Experience with cashflow modelling, ideally using Voyant.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work closely with Advisers on complex planning matters.
Desirable Technical Knowledge
- Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning.
- Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs).
- Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS).
- Pension transfers and complex retirement planning.
- Investment and wealth management strategies.
- Estate and succession planning.
