Bookkeeper – Arts Sector

My client a specialist art retailer based in Central London is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part -time Bookkeeper to join their small and friendly team for 3 days a week. This role is central to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of their financial records and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Finance function.

Day to Day responsibilities:

  • Process sales invoices from the Company's in-house systems into Sage accounting software.
  • Enter, maintain, and reconcile purchase invoices accurately.
  • Prepare and manage bi-weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Reconcile receipts from credit card providers and online payment platforms.
  • Manage company credit card transactions and employee expense claims.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with credit control activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
  • Process and reconcile petty cash transactions.
  • Reconcile financial information between Sage and internal systems. 
  • Assist the Financial Controller with month-end procedures, reconciliations, management accounts, and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Support the wider finance function with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks as required.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
  • Looking only for part – time work
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
