Behaviour Mentor – Primary School

Educo Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in East London seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, behavioural challenges and additional learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, mentors or experienced support staff looking to build a rewarding career within education.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support children with SEMH, Autism (ASC), ADHD and behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour strategies to encourage positive engagement.
- Help pupils regulate emotions and develop social skills.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH is desirable.
- Calm, resilient and patient approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- Psychology graduates, youth workers, sports coaches and mentors are encouraged to apply.
