A high-performing secondary school in Newham is looking for an ambitious Oxbridge Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is considering a future career in teaching and wants to build classroom confidence, subject knowledge and pastoral experience before progressing onto a PGCE, Schools Direct or salaried teacher training route.

The Role
As an Oxbridge Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across KS3-KS4, with potential exposure to KS5
- Work within a subject-specialist department such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities or MFL
- Support class teachers with lesson delivery, intervention and academic progress
- Work with high-achieving pupils as well as those needing additional support
- Help raise attainment, confidence and aspiration across the school
- Receive ongoing training, mentoring and CPD throughout the academic year

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for an Oxbridge graduate who has:
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree from Oxford or Cambridge University
- Strong A-Level results
- A genuine passion for education
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence, resilience and professionalism
- A long-term interest in becoming a secondary teacher
- The ability to motivate, inspire and support young people
