Senior Java Developer – Java / Spring / AWS – Remote – £60,000 – HealthTech / Tech for Good
Senior Software Developer required for a HealthTech, tech-for-good business delivering software that supports patient care and rehabilitation across the healthcare sector.

This is a hands-on senior developer role, not purely architectural. You will design, build and maintain features on a live SaaS platform, working closely with product and clinical teams in a regulated healthcare environment. It's a genuine opportunity to work on technology with real, measurable impact on people's health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software features using Java, AWS and PostgreSQL
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and QA processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve client-reported issues
- Contribute to technical documentation and API specs
- Mentor junior developers
Essential Skills:
- 5+ years commercial software development experience
- Advanced Java
- Advanced Spring (Spring Web MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring AMQP, Spring OAuth2)
- Advanced SQL, ideally PostgreSQL
- Cloud architecture experience, ideally AWS
- Strong security best-practice knowledge
- Version control, testing, code review experience
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently and mentor junior team members
Desirable Skills:
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Docker
- Thymeleaf
- OIDC (OpenID Connect)
- RabbitMQ
- SMS Messaging APIs
