Overview

A welcoming and well-regarded school in Dartford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join its successful department. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring young musicians, delivering engaging lessons, and encouraging students to develop their creativity, confidence, and performance skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across the relevant key stages.
  • Develop students' practical, theoretical, and performance-based musical skills.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress in line with school policies.
  • Organise and support concerts, productions, choirs, ensembles, and other extracurricular music activities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes achievement and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Music education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
