Counterbalance FLT Driver
Counterbalance FLT Driver wanted for a small third-party logistics operation at our York depot, working on a single client contract.
Straight day shift, 07:00 to 15:30, with some flexibility needed.
You will be part of a small team at a York depot, handling the day-to-day warehouse work for one client on site. It is hands-on work, loading and unloading, picking and moving stock, and keeping the warehouse organised through the day. The core hours are 7am to half past three, Monday to Friday, though some flexibility on hours will be needed to suit the demands of the operation.
Job Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Picking, packing and moving stock around the warehouse
- Operating a counterbalance forklift to move and store goods
- Checking goods in and goods out against paperwork and reporting any discrepancies
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Making sure stock is stored correctly and safely
- Supporting the rest of the depot team as needed
- Following all health, safety and manual handling procedures on site
Skills and Experience
To do this Warehouse Operative role you will need:
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Previous warehouse experience, which is ideal
- A reliable approach and good timekeeping
- The ability to work well in a small team
- A safety-first attitude
- A good eye for detail with stock and paperwork
- Some flexibility on working hours to suit the operation
Pay and Benefits
As a Warehouse Operative you will receive:
- A salary of £26,754 per year
- Straight permanent role
- A day shift of 07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed
