Architectural Technician – 3 month contract
Salary: £34-40,000 annual salary (dependent on experience)
Location: Richmond
A well-established architectural and design studio is looking to appoint a skilled Architectural Technician for a 3-month contract at its Richmond office. This position will involve supporting the delivery of a variety of leisure, spa, and fitness developments by producing accurate technical documentation and collaborating closely with architects, designers, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, layouts, and construction documentation using AutoCAD.
- Prepare and coordinate technical information across all phases of project delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of planning applications, Building Regulations submissions, and statutory approvals.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and design consistency.
- Revise and maintain drawing packages in response to project updates and site requirements.
- Provide technical support from the initial design stages through to project completion.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Architectural Technician within a UK architectural practice.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and technical detailing.
- Demonstrated experience producing technical drawing packages for planning and construction stages.
- High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
