The Role: What You'll Do
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to boost their confidence and progress during lessons.
- Providing tailored support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and implementing creative strategies to help them thrive.
- Partnering with class teachers and other professionals to review student progress and set up classroom activities.
- Lending a helping hand with lunch and break duties to ensure a safe, fun school day.
- Prioritizing student well-being by reporting any concerns directly to the SENCo.
What We Are Looking For
Experience working with children is essential for this role. To be successful, you will need:
- Previous experience working in an education setting or a similar youth-support role.
- Proven experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
- An Enhanced Child DBS check and EWC Registration (or a willingness to apply for both).
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification is highly desirable, though not essential.
