Head of Enterprise Applications & IT Operations
Package: £80,000–£90,000 benefits
Location: Leeds
Working Pattern: 5 days per week onsite
Reporting to: IT Director
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Enterprise Applications & IT Operations to take ownership of the organisation’s enterprise technology platforms, with primary responsibility for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and the wider applications landscape.
This is a fully onsite leadership role requiring someone who can combine technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, and team leadership. The successful candidate will act as the internal subject matter expert for Dynamics F&O, driving system improvements, supporting integrations, and ensuring technology continues to deliver value across the organisation.
Working closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external technology partners, this role will lead enterprise application development while ensuring effective day-to-day IT operations and user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and optimise the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform.
- Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, system enhancements, testing, and release management.
- Manage the wider enterprise applications landscape, ensuring systems are reliable and aligned with business requirements.
- Support integrations between Dynamics and other business-critical platforms.
- Lead the IT operations function, including user support, Microsoft 365 services, devices, and workplace technology.
- Manage relationships with external technology providers and ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop internal IT capability through coaching, documentation, and improved support processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology, automation, and better use of data.
Experience Required
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Experience supporting, developing, or owning enterprise ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of ERP processes including finance, procurement, and operational workflows.
- Experience with enterprise applications, integrations, and technical problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Experience leading or mentoring IT/application teams.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations programmes.
- Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, or workflow automation tools.
- Microsoft Dynamics or ERP certifications.
- Experience working within multi-site organisations such as retail, manufacturing, distribution, service, or other operational environments.
