Job Title: Class 2 Refuse Driver
Location: Hounslow
Pay Rate: £18.97 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am start!
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste and recycling team in Hounslow. You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle safely while working alongside a team of loaders to collect household and commercial waste across the borough.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
- Follow designated collection routes and schedules.
- Work closely with the refuse collection crew to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Adhere to all road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and vehicle safety regulations.
- Previous refuse or waste collection experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
