Description
- Oversee VAT compliance and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with current regulations.
- Work closely with internal teams to provide VAT-related advice and support.
- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and implement necessary process adjustments.
- Collaborate with external advisors and auditors as required.
- Identify opportunities for VAT efficiencies and risk mitigation.
- Support the accounting and finance department with ad hoc tax queries.
- Maintain accurate documentation for VAT audits and compliance checks.
Profile
A successful VAT Manager should have:
- A strong background in VAT compliance and reporting, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, tax, or finance.
- Excellent knowledge of UK VAT legislation and its application.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
