Unitruc LTD

Class 1 HGV – ADR Tanker Driver

Your own truck, weekly pay and up to £57,720 a year – join a family-run business built by people who’ve driven the job themselves.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Widnes

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, with 4 nights out a week

Salary: Up to £57,720 per year, including approx. 10 hours’ overtime a week

Why Drive For Us:

  • Weekly pay.
  • Your own truck – no sharing.
  • Secure overnight parking covered through our SNAP Parking account.
  • A permanent role in a friendly, family-run business – our office team includes ex-drivers who understand the job.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays per year.
  • Workplace pension available.
  • Full paid training (one to three weeks, depending on experience), plus paid renewal training for CPC and ADR.

The Role:

You’ll start out alongside one of our experienced HGV driver trainers, learning how to safely deliver and collect a range of chemicals.

  • All PPE for your training is issued to you before you start.
  • Every week brings a different job – no two days are the same.
  • You’re paid for every hour worked, as per your tachograph, including breaks.
  • Jobs are allocated throughout the week by email and our transport team, so good communication – flagging any delays, issues, or relevant info – keeps everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Need:

  • A keen, efficient approach and sound safe working practices.
  • ADR licence in tanks, all classes except 1 & 7.
  • A genuine focus on your own health and safety, and that of the people around you.
  • Valid digital tachograph.
  • Up-to-date CPC card.

We’re a family-run company and proud of it. We look after our drivers, and in return we expect the same care for our equipment and the same sense of responsibility for our customers and their work.
