Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Barnet

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to join an award-winning Independent Financial Advice (IFA) firm where your contribution is genuinely valued?

Our client is a growing, forward-thinking financial planning practice based in Barnet with ambitious plans for the future. They have built an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional client outcomes and are now looking to appoint a technically strong Paraplanner to support their continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative and close-knit team where culture is just as important as technical ability. As a smaller firm, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of financial planning work, work closely with experienced advisers and senior colleagues, and have the opportunity to develop your career in an environment that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role

Working alongside Financial Advisers, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial planning advice by producing suitability reports, undertaking technical research and supporting the end-to-end advice process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate, compliant and well-written suitability reports.
  • Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.
  • Analysing client information and supporting financial planning recommendations.
  • Liaising with advisers, providers and clients where appropriate.
  • Supporting the delivery of an exceptional client experience.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

About You

The firm is looking for someone who is technically capable but, equally importantly, someone who shares their values, enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about achieving positive client outcomes.

You'll ideally have:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a Paraplanning or similar technical financial planning role.
  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or CISI Level 4 Certificate in Paraplanning.
  • A desire to continue studying towards Chartered Financial Planner or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status, with full support provided.
  • Excellent report writing and technical research skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to thrive within a supportive team environment.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
  • Join an award-winning and highly respected financial planning firm.
  • A genuinely supportive and collaborative culture where your development is encouraged.
  • Full support towards Chartered Financial Planner or CFP qualifications.
  • Exposure to a broad range of technical financial planning work.
  • Excellent long-term career progression as the business continues to grow.
  • The opportunity to be part of an ambitious firm with exciting plans for the future.

If you're looking to join an award-winning wealth management firm where you'll be supported, challenged and given every opportunity to develop your career, we'd love to hear from you.
