As the First Line Manager, you will oversee the delivery of a varied portfolio of gas construction and capital delivery projects. The role involves managing direct labour and contractor teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising direct labour and contractor teams.
  • Managing a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing and authorising permits and operational documentation.
  • Monitoring performance, quality standards and compliance.
  • Conducting site inspections, audits and technical reviews.
  • Managing contractor performance and commercial activities.
  • Preparing scopes of work and supporting tender processes.
  • Participation in an on-call rota and weekend work, however standard week will be 37 hours.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience managing construction or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management and supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and statutory regulations.
  • Experience working within utility, gas, engineering or network environments.
  • SMSTS
  • SCO Registration
