Business Development Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a highly successful and growing technology solutions provider. This role offers the chance to develop your sales career within a business that delivers managed IT services, cloud solutions, cyber security, connectivity, communications, and digital transformation services to organisations across the UK.
This position is ideal for someone with sales experience who thrives in a new business environment and is looking to progress into a more senior business development role.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing your own sales pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term customers. You will engage with business owners and decision-makers, understand their challenges, and present solutions that deliver commercial value.
Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you will receive support from sales development, technical, and pre-sales specialists while maintaining ownership of your opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new business opportunities across a broad technology solutions portfolio.
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Prospect through multiple channels including referrals, networking, marketing campaigns, and outbound activity
- Engage with senior decision-makers to understand business challenges and future requirements.
- Qualify opportunities and guide prospects through the sales process.
- Deliver consultative, solution-led sales conversations.
- Support the preparation of proposals, quotations, and customer presentations
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Achieve agreed revenue and activity targets
You Will Have:
- Previous experience within business development, sales, account development, or lead generation within technology, telecoms, managed services, cyber security, connectivity, or cloud solutions.
- A proactive and resilient approach to winning new business.
- Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities effectively.
