Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £28,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overtime: Available at enhanced rates
Adecco is recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy and growing warehouse operation in Sittingbourne.
This is a varied role offering a mix of forklift work and warehouse duties. Approximately 20-25% of your time will be spent operating a forklift truck, with the remainder focused on supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload 2-3 deliveries per day
- Check delivery manifests against goods received
- Move stock safely into designated warehouse locations
- Unbox products and transfer them to storage areas
- Use Powered Pallet Trucks (PPTs) to move stock throughout the warehouse
- Maintain accurate stock handling procedures
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
- Support the wider warehouse team with general duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
- Previous forklift and warehouse experience
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- PPT experience is desirable but not essential
