What will the Senior Financial Accountant role involve?
- Leading the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with legislation and standards
- Overseeing statutory submissions and regulatory returns, maintaining high standards of accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Managing treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, bank relationships, and covenant compliance
- Providing guidance on taxation matters, including VAT and Corporation Tax, working closely with HMRC and external advisors
- Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and systems, exploring innovative solutions such as AI and digital tools to enhance processes
Suitable Candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant vacancy:
- Possesses either extensive financial accounting experience within a complex environment or is a qualified individual looking to make their first move out of Public Practice
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise and the ability to advise and guide senior management on financial matters
- Exhibits excellent leadership skills, capable of managing and developing a team whilst fostering collaboration
- Is highly organised, with a proactive attitude and meticulous attention to detail in a deadline-driven setting
