SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a leading primary school in Westminster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-performing, supportive school where you'll play a key role across the curriculum, supporting teaching and learning while developing your own skills.

The Role

As a HLTA, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in the teacher's absence.
  • Support whole-class teaching and learning.
  • Lead small group and intervention sessions.
  • Work closely with teachers to raise pupil attainment.
  • Provide high-quality classroom support across the school.
  • Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience as a HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant.
  • Is confident leading whole-class learning.
  • Has excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Is proactive, organised and enthusiastic.
  • Has a genuine passion for primary education.
  • Holds HLTA status (desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience).

Salary

£140+ per day (PAYE), dependent on experience.

This role would suit an experienced HLTA, Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant ready to step up, or an aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience before teacher training.
