The Supply Register is working in partnership with Sunderland College to recruit English Lecturers to support across their curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a supportive college environment, with the potential to secure longer-term or permanent roles.

The Role
- Deliver engaging GCSE and/or Functional Skills English lessons
- Support learners with reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Plan and deliver inclusive and effective teaching sessions
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare learners for exams and assessments
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience teaching English
- Strong subject knowledge in English and literacy
- Ability to engage and support post-16 learners
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Flexible and reliable approach
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
- Experience within Further Education or secondary education
- Experience delivering GCSE or Functional Skills English
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
