Technical Support Consultant – Digital Payments

Morgan McKinley

Technical Support Consultant – Digital Payments

Hybrid working (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday office based)
Initial 12 month contract | £250-300pd PAYE

We're supporting a global technology organisation looking for a Technical Support Consultant to join their growing Digital Payments team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in technical support, fintech, payments, banking or technology operations who wants to build their experience within a global payments environment.

Working alongside Technical Program Managers and engineering teams, you'll help support payment solutions, troubleshoot issues, improve processes and work with banking partners across the EMEA region. You don't need to be a developer or a payments expert, we're looking for someone who is technically curious, enjoys problem solving and has a good understanding of how technology and payment systems work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting day-to-day operations across digital payment products.
  • Investigating and resolving technical queries from partners and internal teams.
  • Troubleshooting payment and card-related issues.
  • Supporting testing and identifying issues across payment journeys.
  • Working with technical teams to document and resolve problems.
  • Improving processes and identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks using technology and AI tools.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years' experience in a technical support, fintech, banking, payments or technology operations role.
  • A basic understanding of payment ecosystems (e.g. card payments, authorisation, settlement).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and learning new systems.
  • Someone who is proactive, curious and enjoys getting to the root cause of issues.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with digital wallets, payment platforms or financial technology.
  • Exposure to APIs, integrations or software development lifecycles.
  • Experience using ticketing systems.
  • Interest in automation and AI tools.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing technology team, gain exposure to global payments and develop your technical expertise within a leading organisation.
