Russell Taylor Group are partnering with an established pharmaceutical manufacturer to recruit a Head of Operations for a confidential senior leadership appointment.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious pharmaceutical manufacturing leader who is ready to take the next step towards full site leadership. Ideal for an experienced Head of Production or Operations leader, this role offers broad operational responsibility and the opportunity to shape the future of a complex manufacturing operation within a highly regulated environment.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in leading site operations across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Health & Safety, ensuring the business continues to deliver operational excellence, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing visible leadership across the manufacturing operation and driving a culture of operational excellence. • Leading and developing cross-functional teams to deliver performance, engagement and continuous improvement. • Ensuring the highest standards of GMP compliance, product quality and patient safety. • Supporting FDA, MHRA and customer inspections, maintaining a strong compliance culture. • Driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, capacity and operational performance. • Working collaboratively with Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to achieve business objectives. • Supporting operational strategy, business improvement initiatives and future site growth. • Managing departmental budgets and delivering measurable improvements across the operation.
About You
We are particularly interested in speaking with ambitious pharmaceutical manufacturing leaders who are looking to progress into a broader site leadership position.
To be successful, you will have:
• Current experience as a Head of Production, Senior Production Manager or similar manufacturing leadership role within pharmaceutical manufacturing. • Strong experience across solid and/or liquid dose manufacturing. • Recent experience managing GMP-regulated pharmaceutical production. • Experience supporting or leading FDA inspections, alongside other regulatory audits. • A proven track record of leading large manufacturing teams and delivering operational improvements. • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. • A degree in a scientific, engineering or related discipline is preferred. • What's on Offer • Highly competitive executive package. • A genuine opportunity to progress towards full Site Head responsibility. • Significant autonomy and influence within a successful pharmaceutical manufacturing business. • The opportunity to lead business-critical operational improvement and growth initiatives.
