Job: HR Advisor
Location: Canterbury, Kent (Office-based with hybrid working available)
Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £36,000 – £39,000 DOE

We are proud to be working exclusively with a well-respected and values-driven organisation to recruit an HR Advisor into their busy and growing people function. This is a hands-on generalist role sitting at the heart of HR operations, where no two days will look the same.
The role will include:
- Managing end-to-end employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and capability, in line with the ACAS Code of Practice
- Advising and coaching line managers on employment law, risk, and best practice
- Overseeing safer recruitment compliance, DBS processing, right-to-work checks and maintaining the Single Central Register
- Drafting contracts, offer letters, and all associated employment documentation
- Administering payroll changes, family leave, and contract variations
- Supporting change management, restructuring, and redundancy processes
- Maintaining the HRIS and ensuring data integrity in line with UK GDPR
About you:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience) — Level 7 desirable
- Solid ER case management experience with a strong working knowledge of the ACAS Code
- Confident, professional, and naturally discreet when handling sensitive matters
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and compliance discipline
- Experience in the education sector, particularly around safeguarding and KCSIE, would be an advantage
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Working pattern: Office-based during term-time, 8:30am – 4:30pm or flexible as required, with hybrid working available during school holidays
