Robert Half are currently supporting a leading clean energy business in the search for an Interim FP&A Lead to join their business on an immediate basis. This is a key commercial finance role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of budgeting, financial planning, and business partnering within a growing clean energy business.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established clean energy organisation during an exciting period of transformation. You'll play a pivotal role in leading the budgeting process while providing commercial financial leadership to the local business and working closely with an established Finance function.
The successful candidate will act as the primary finance contact for the business, working closely with senior operational stakeholders while partnering with the finance teams responsible for accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting.
Role: Interim FP&A Lead
Location: Gloucester – Hybrid (2 days per week)
Start Date: 27th July
Rate: Competitive daily rate (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3-4 months
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UK 2027 budgeting and forecasting process from start to finish
- Review and validate financial information produced by the central finance function, ensuring accuracy and challenging where appropriate
- Monitor cash flow and working capital across multiple entities
- Oversee project CAPEX and OPEX, providing financial insight throughout the project lifecycle
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Work collaboratively with the Group Finance functions, including accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and ongoing commercial performance analysis
Person Specification
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Previous experience in an FP&A, Finance Business Partner, or Commercial Finance role
- Strong understanding of CAPEX accounting, project finance, and financial planning
- Experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction, or other capital-intensive industries would be highly advantageous
- Confident working autonomously as the sole finance representative within a business unit
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence non-finance colleagues
- Solid knowledge of IFRS
