The Opportunity
A well-established and highly reputable electrical contractor with over 30 years’ experience is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team in Leicester.
Known for delivering high-quality electrical installations across the Midlands and beyond, this business combines strong technical capability with a proactive approach to health & safety, training, and long-term client relationships. With continued growth and a strong project pipeline, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a key delivery role with real influence and progression potential.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This is a hands-on, commercially aware role requiring strong leadership and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction to final handover
- Develop and maintain project programmes and key milestones
- Control budgets, forecasts, and cost performance
- Procure materials, subcontractors, and labour
- Lead project meetings with clients and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Manage risks, variations, and technical queries
- Oversee design coordination and commissioning processes
- Produce regular progress reports for senior management
- Build strong client relationships to secure repeat work
- Support and mentor site teams
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager
Strong knowledge of electrical installations (building services / construction)
Experience delivering projects from start to finish
Commercial awareness and understanding of contracts
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Building Services
- SMSTS
- ECS/CSCS Management Card
- IOSH or NEBOSH
- PRINCE2 / APM or similar
