Atkinson Moss are working with an established manufacturing business based in Eye, Suffolk to appoint a Logistics Administrator.
In this role, you will support the Distribution Manager in coordinating the distribution of products to worldwide locations, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Support transport and distribution processes to ensure efficient delivery to customers.
- Plan and arrange shipments to achieve the most cost-effective solutions while meeting delivery requirements.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation in line with relevant regulations.
- Support initiatives to maintain a zero-harm and safe working environment.
- Provide advice to the Sales team on transport options and obtain quotations.
- Work closely with the Packing team to ensure efficient and appropriate packing methods for all shipments.
- Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding order despatch and provide required updates and documentation.
- Support all departments requiring shipping and despatch services.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates on business systems to reflect shipment status and actions taken.
Essential Skills & Personal Attributes
- Strong administrative ability and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Competent in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Consistently professional, positive, and upbeat attitude.
Work Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in a logistics role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the role of a Logistics Coordinator/Controller.
