Buyer – Staplehurst – salary circa £35,000
Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next challenge in Staplehurst?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Buyer to join a successful, established and growing business based in Staplehurst. This Buyer position offers the chance to play a key role within a busy purchasing function, driving cost savings, strengthening supplier relationships and ensuring products are sourced efficiently to support business growth.
Working closely with senior management, the successful Buyer will have the opportunity to influence procurement strategy, negotiate favourable commercial agreements and build long-term supplier partnerships within a supportive and collaborative environment.
What we are looking for The successful Buyer will have previous buying or procurement experience together with excellent commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.
Applicants should ideally have:
- At least 3 years' experience within a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
- Excellent analytical and numerical ability.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practice.
