Security Engineer Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Security Engineer to join an established independent security company based in Hertfordshire.
This is a field-based role covering North London, Enfield and Hertfordshire, carrying out the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of a wide range of electronic security systems. The successful candidate will join a friendly and professional team with opportunities to increase earnings through overtime and call-out payments.
Security Engineer Role & Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and fault-find Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
- Attend customer sites across North London, Enfield and Hertfordshire.
- Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
- Participate in a paid on-call rota (1 week in every 4).
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards.
Security Engineer Skills & Experience
- Previous experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
- Experience working on Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturers such as Texecom, Galaxy, Aritech, Paxton, Avigilon, Hikvision and Genie is advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
