Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Hours: Rotating 2 Shift Pattern (6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm)

A leading steel processing company in Dudley is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its established maintenance team. The RoleAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant machinery.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Complete welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs.
- Perform oxy-acetylene burning and bench fitting.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and overhead cranes where required.
About You
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
- Time-served apprenticeship preferred.
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience within heavy industry or manufacturing.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
