- Pay Rate: £16.47 per hour (PAYE) / £19.95 per hour (Umbrella)

- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (2 – 3 months)
Berneslai Homes are looking for a skilled and experienced Qualified Plumber to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves working alongside a joiner to fit adaptations in social housing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic plumbing and any experience in adaptations will be highly beneficial.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work as part of a team to install adaptations in social housing.
- Carry out all aspects of plumbing work on maintenance, repairs, and construction projects to council dwellings, schools, and public buildings.
- Install central heating systems, solid fuel boilers, sink units, water closets, baths, showers, and wash basins.
- Renew external gutters, fall pipes, and soil stacks where necessary.
- Renew and repair external water services and stop cocks.
- Liaise with other employees of various trades, tenants, managers, caretakers, etc.
- Work at heights using the necessary safety equipment.
- Maintain vehicle stock levels at optimum level to ensure service efficiency.
- Submit all worksheets and documents relating to the job within the required timescales.
- Carry out Driver/Labourer duties as and when required.
- Ensure a customer-focused approach is adopted in all aspects of the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Valid basic DBS.
- Good knowledge of domestic plumbing.
- Experience in plumbing adaptations is beneficial.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to drawings.
- Punctual with good time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and training.
