Occupational Therapist – Ulverston
We're looking for a passionate HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist to join our client’s specialist college, supporting young adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to develop the skills and confidence they need for adulthood.
Working as part of a friendly multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference while delivering person-centred therapy in a supportive educational environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of young adults with complex needs.
- Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Promote independence in daily living, education and self-care.
- Assess and recommend specialist equipment and sensory strategies.
- Train and support education and care teams.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
What We're Looking For
- BSc in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- At least 2 years' post-graduate experience.
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Knowledge of sensory integration principles.
- A proactive, collaborative and person-centred approach.
