This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant looking for work in the Hale / Altrincham area with a business that can offer plenty of flexibility and a great working environment.
With a fantastic reputation locally it’s a hands-on role covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, bank reconciliations and payment runs – ideal for anyone that likes variety in their working day.
You will join a great team of five, everyone pulls together during busy times and will be on hand to support you whenever you need help.
It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys what they do, but are now looking for a local firm with a better working environment to do it at.
The role
- Producing and processing monthly invoices
- Setting up and managing direct debit collections
- Allocating incoming payments accurately
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Responding to queries regarding invoices and payments
- Carrying out weekly credit control by telephone and email
- Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate ledger records
- Preparing and processing monthly supplier payment runs
- Processing company credit cards and employee expenses
- Completing bank reconciliations across several group companies
- Reconciling supplier statements and reviewing aged creditor reports
- Processing petty cash reconciliations and reimbursements
About you
- Strong purchase ledger and sales ledger experience
- Experience of supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Confidence handling customer and supplier queries by telephone and email
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage deadlines within a busy environment
- Formal accountancy qualifications are not essential its more important that you have practical experience and are confident in your job.
