REED / Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school based in Preston from 7th September.
This is a full-time position, working 8:30am – 3:25pm, Monday to Friday, providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in Reception.
The successful candidate will work closely with the child, class teacher, and wider school team to support the pupil's learning, development, and engagement within the classroom. The role requires a patient, nurturing, and proactive individual who can help create a positive and inclusive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in Reception
- Support the child's learning, communication, and social development
- Assist the pupil in accessing classroom activities and routines
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements:
- Previous SEN experience is preferred
- EYFS experience is preferred
- A nurturing and patient approach to supporting young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
