The Position – 1:1 Teaching Assistant
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kensington & Chelsea is looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil from September. The pupil has epilepsy and requires a calm, attentive and nurturing Teaching Assistant who is confident following medical guidance and supporting their day-to-day needs within the classroom. The successful candidate will also work closely with the school's Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist, helping to implement strategies and programmes that support the pupil's communication, sensory and physical development.The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting children with additional needs and medical conditions, be patient, proactive and able to build a positive relationship with the pupil. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
