We are recruiting for a Senior Marine & Energy Liability Claims Adjuster, on behalf of a leading start-up Lloyd's Syndicate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Marine & Energy Liability claims, as well as handling complex cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership for Marine & Energy Liability technical claims with oversight for accurate and timely case reserves and payments.
- Accountability for making decisions on the largest and most complex losses.
- Holding a high level of authority and overseeing areas where delegation of reserving, payment and settlement authority has been given to more junior internal staff.
- Being the claims technical leader, technical guru and an industry thought leader.
- Designing best in class processes and drafting documents.
- Creating and nurturing collaborative relationships with the Product leaders.
Key Requirements
- Global Marine complex claims experience is critical.
- Extensive technical claims expertise and demonstrable working knowledge of the most significant and complex claims, ideally gained from working for a Lead insurer.
- A solutions orientated mindset working with Clients and Brokers in stressful situations.
- A rich pedigree of leadership experience, comfortable to lead from the front.
- A passion for data analytics and using trends to drive better outcomes.
- An agile, flexible and change orientated mindset, and someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to juggle many priorities.
