The Role
As an Account Handler / Manager, you'll take responsibility for a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring smooth renewals, mid-term adjustments, and excellent day-to-day service. You'll work closely with Account Executives and the wider team to deliver outstanding client experiences while identifying opportunities for growth and cross-selling additional products.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical insurance work, relationship management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, providing advice and support

Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and client queries efficiently

Prepare policy documentation, submissions, and insurer communications

Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and ensure competitive coverage

Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across commercial insurance products

Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal procedures

Support Account Executives in delivering high-quality service to clients
About You

Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler / Manager

Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and UK market risks

Confident managing client relationships and providing technical advice

ACII qualified or working towards (desirable, not essential)

Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail

Comfortable working independently in an office or remotely while collaborating with a team
