The Role

As an Account Handler / Manager, you'll take responsibility for a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring smooth renewals, mid-term adjustments, and excellent day-to-day service. You'll work closely with Account Executives and the wider team to deliver outstanding client experiences while identifying opportunities for growth and cross-selling additional products.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical insurance work, relationship management, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, providing advice and support

  • Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and client queries efficiently

  • Prepare policy documentation, submissions, and insurer communications

  • Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and ensure competitive coverage

  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across commercial insurance products

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal procedures

  • Support Account Executives in delivering high-quality service to clients

About You

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler / Manager

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and UK market risks

  • Confident managing client relationships and providing technical advice

  • ACII qualified or working towards (desirable, not essential)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working independently in an office or remotely while collaborating with a team
