Senior Revenues Technician
Salary: £28,694 – £42,361

The Opportunity
An established business services organisation is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Revenues Technician to join its Business Rates (NNDR) Shared Services team.
This is a key role within the service, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to operational delivery, team development, and continuous service improvement. You will play a vital role in supporting both internal teams and external clients, ensuring a high-quality, efficient service is consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and maintain training programmes for new and existing team members
- Mentor and upskill colleagues, supporting ongoing technical development
- Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive service improvements
- Manage operational schedules and key annual timetables to ensure deadlines are met
- Act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and clients
- Handle complex casework from investigation through to resolution
- Provide specialist technical support on escalated cases
- Ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
- Review and improve internal processes and procedures
- Manage complex legal cases, liaising with solicitors and preparing documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulatory changes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and personal development
Skills & Experience Required
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grade A–C / 4–9)
- Strong, demonstrable experience within Business Rates (NNDR)
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service to a diverse client base
- Experience handling and managing large volumes of information
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Confident working independently and using initiative
- Flexible approach to working patterns in line with business needs
