Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Professional Indemnity Claims specialist to join a highly regarded market-leading team handling some of the UK’s largest and most complex construction claims portfolios.
This role offers significant autonomy, exposure to major Tier 1 contractor accounts, and the opportunity to develop into a recognised specialist within the construction claims market.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior claims professionals, managing a portfolio of high-value and technically complex Professional Indemnity claims across the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of Construction PI claims from notification through to resolution
• Handle complex and high-value claims involving Tier 1 UK contractors
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, solicitors, adjusters, and other key stakeholders
• Provide strategic guidance and technical support on major losses and coverage issues
• Support clients through complex claims negotiations and resolution strategies
• Ensure claims are managed efficiently and in line with regulatory and market requirements
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the construction claims practice
Claims Portfolio
• Pure Construction Professional Indemnity focus
• Portfolio consists predominantly of Tier 1 UK contractor accounts
• Average claim values regularly reach tens of millions of pounds
Experience:
Essential
• Minimum 5 years’ experience handling Professional Indemnity claims
• Strong technical claims knowledge and experience managing complex losses
• Experience working within the UK insurance market
• Ability to manage high-profile client relationships and large corporate accounts.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
• Construction PI claims experience OR Professional Indemnity exposure from architect/engineer clients
• Background gained within a broker, insurer, legal practice, or loss adjusting environment
• Exposure to large and complex corporate claims programmes
