Holiday Entitlement Calculator

Estimate basic UK statutory holiday entitlement for regular weekly working patterns.

This calculator gives a basic estimate only for regular weekly working patterns. Statutory holiday entitlement is usually based on 5.6 weeks per year and is normally capped at 28 days for workers who work 5 days or more per week. Bank holidays may be included in statutory holiday entitlement. This tool does not calculate irregular-hours, part-year, starter, leaver, shift-work or contractual holiday entitlement. It is for general information only and does not provide legal or employment advice.

How this calculator works

This calculator estimates basic statutory holiday entitlement by multiplying the number of days worked per week by 5.6.

For example, someone working 5 days per week would usually receive 28 days of statutory paid holiday per year. Someone working 3 days per week would usually receive 16.8 days.

If weekly working hours are entered, the calculator also estimates holiday entitlement in hours by multiplying weekly hours by 5.6.

The results are estimates only. This calculator is designed for regular weekly working patterns and does not calculate irregular-hours, part-year, starter, leaver, shift-work or contractual holiday entitlement.
