Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across Liskeard, Bodmin, Wadebridge, and surrounding areas.

About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with one child, supporting them throughout the school day to ensure they can access learning and feel safe, supported, and engaged.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
- Supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
- Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
- Building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
- A patient, calm, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilience and the ability to adapt to individual needs
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
(Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential—personal qualities are key.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
