Teaching Personnel

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 tutor to provide in-school support for a young person with additional needs who is working towards GCSE Maths and English qualifications.

This rewarding role requires a patient, flexible, and engaging tutor who can deliver personalised learning, build confidence, and support the student in achieving their academic goals.

Role Details:

  • Location: School-based in Leigh, Lancashire
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Schedule: 3 days per week
  • Hours: 2 hours per day (morning sessions)
  • Subject Areas: GCSE Maths and English
  • Competitive hourly rate

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs/SEND
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths and English curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Relevant teaching, tutoring, or educational support experience
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
