Hales Group are currently seeking 7.5T Drivers to join our client based in Ufford, Woodbridge. We are looking for individuals to undertake driving duties across waste management roles and functions, supporting local service requirements on a temporary basis for a minimum of 8 weeks, with the potential for the assignment to be extended.
Main Duties of 7.5T Driver Include:
- Driving 7.5T waste collection vehicles across Woodbridge and surrounding East Suffolk areas.
- Confidently reversing and manoeuvring safely in narrow streets and residential locations.
- Supporting with manual handling and loading of waste.
- Completing daily routes as effectively as possible while following all health & safety procedures to protect the crew and members of the public.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
To be considered for the role of 7.5T Driver:
- Valid UK Category C1 driving licence (7.5T entitlement).
- Current Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
- Good awareness of road safety and vehicle compliance requirements.
- Physically and medically fit to carry out the duties in line with licence conditions.
Working Hours & Pattern:
- Primarily Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am – 4:45pm
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Opportunity to work additional days on Mondays and Saturdays (trade waste and catch-up rounds)
- Part-time drivers will be considered; however, shifts will remain 10 hours per day across fewer days
LOCATION: Ufford, Woodbridge PAY: £15.56 per hour DURATION: Minimum 8 weeks, potentially longer
