Tutor of Chemistry
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £43,408 per annum (£44,875 with ATS)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Start Date: August / September 2026
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Chemistry specialist to join a highly successful Science department at one of Yorkshire's leading Further Education colleges.
This role offers the opportunity to teach A Level Chemistry. You will become part of a collaborative team of subject specialists dedicated to delivering outstanding teaching and supporting learners to achieve exceptional outcomes.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry teaching across a range of programmes
- Support learners to achieve outstanding academic outcomes and progression opportunities
- Develop engaging and innovative learning resources
- Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and intervention
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental success
- Support students progressing to university, apprenticeships, and STEM careers
About You
- Hold a degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
- Have a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or are willing to work towards one
- Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry
- Are committed to delivering an exceptional learner experience
- Can inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
